New Islands & Settlements

Explore four new double-sided islands:

• Front sides: Isle of Man, Isle of Skye, Islay, Outer Hebrides

• Back sides: Waterford, Wexford, Cork, Limerick — Irish longphorts (winter Viking settlements used for trade and raiding)

Each provides fresh layouts, scoring potential, and strategic opportunities.

New Puzzle Tiles & Resources

New tile types expand your placement and strategy options:

• Animals:

  • Horses (6 VP, 2x5 tiles) and Pregnant Horses

  • Pigs (1 VP, breed every round, 2x3–1 = 5-space tiles)

• Goods:

  • Leather (green), Vadmal wool (blue), Herbs (orange), Antlers (green), Tools (blue)

• Extra resources: Meat, Beans, Runes, Oil

• New silver coins, mountain strip for the final round, and a "Little Emigration" token that covers just one food space

Expanded Mechanics & Strategic Depth

• A revised modular action board with three reversible sections (for 1–2, 3, or 4 players), making action competition more dynamic

• New fifth column lets you take a final action with your last Viking

• Enhanced strategies:

  • Easier access to animals and ability to gain two of the same animal in one action

  • Smithing now allows creation of new grey tiles like Pans, Hauberks, and Anvils using only one action and ore

  • New smithing board for equipment with fewer than 9 swords

New Start Options

Begin the game with one of six unique Artisan Shed tiles (double-sided). Pay one wood and one action to build them. Like stonehouses and longhouses, they provide:

• Starting goods (weapons, commodities, puzzle pieces)

• Victory points

• A silver bonus (e.g., Horse Stable = 2 silver)

You’ll also draft from two starting profession cards, choosing one to keep. Don’t like your card? Discard it for a VP token — but hurry, there are only:

• Two 4-VP chips

• Six 3-VP chips

• Endless 2-VP chips

Bonus Components

• A new board for ship tracking and emigration

• Reworked graphics and VP tweaks for the original mini-expansion islands: Lofoten, Orkneys, and Tierra del Fuego

• A third box for storing all the new tiles and components
